Ricochet is Activision's anti-cheat for Call of Duty Warzone and multiplayer. It introduced several innovative detection techniques — but all of them target internal cheats.
Ricochet's Innovations
- Kernel Driver: Monitors memory read/write operations to CoD's process
- Damage Shield: Reduces or nullifies damage from confirmed cheaters in real-time
- Cloaking: Makes legitimate players invisible to confirmed cheaters' tools
- Hallucinations: Shows fake players to confirmed cheaters to identify aimbot behavior
- Server-Side Detection: Statistical analysis of kill patterns and accuracy
Why External Bypasses Ricochet
Damage Shield, Cloaking, and Hallucinations only activate after a player is flagged by the kernel driver — which monitors memory access. If you never access game memory, you're never flagged, and these countermeasures never activate.
Server-side statistical analysis is the only concern — which is why Skyrant includes humanization features. Reaction time randomization, smoothing, and miss chance keep your stats within normal human ranges.
